A message from the Ottawa Team

We are proud of our reputation of providing a service that is impartial, professional and trustworthy to help take the uncertainty out of buying a home. We have the knowledge and experience to protect our client’s investment. In fact, many of our clients are referrals from previous customers who have been impressed with the expert and straightforward service they received.  The following are a few reasons why we are so successful:

  • Qualified and Bilingual - Our inspectors are completely bilingual, fully trained, certified and insured and have experience inspecting a wide variety of homes including newly constructed homes, century old homes, semi-detached homes, townhouses and condominiums.
  • No Jargon - Our home inspectors are trained to communicate clearly and effectively using laymen’s terms and questions are always encouraged. We consistently provide our clients with a reliable and objective assessment of the property to assist them in making an informed decision prior to closing the deal.
  • On-site Printed Report - The client receives a computer generated report at the end of the inspection and our inspectors take the time to review the report with the client before they leave. The report lists discrepancies noted during the inspection and highlights areas which may require further investigation.
  • Personal Service - We always do our best to be available when our clients need us and are available to answer questions even after the inspection is completed. Clients are contacted prior to the inspection in order to provide them with an overview of the process and answer any questions they have regarding the upcoming inspection.

Why is a Home Inspection Important?

For the Home Buyer: Purchasing a house can be a very daunting and overwhelming experience especially for first-time buyers. The main concern of every home buyer, regardless of the number of times they have gone through the process is whether the home they are planning to buy is a sound investment. Regardless of when the home was built, all homes have problems, some small, some large. Obtaining a professional home inspection provides an opportunity to become aware of problems before the sale closes and is a valuable step to obtaining all the information necessary to confidently make a knowledgeable decision.

For the Home Seller: A home inspection is not necessarily a service exclusive to home buyers. Many home owners have a professional home inspection performed prior to listing their house for sale. This is a great option which allows the home seller to become aware of necessary repairs prior to listing the home. This knowledge improves negotiating power which may result in selling the home faster and obtaining a higher price. It also reduces the risk of a surprise or two when the home is inspected for potential buyers.
